A Central Wisconsin native, Paula moved to San Diego with her infant son 6 years ago in search for sun and salt water.
Her love for nutrition started 18 years ago while working in the cosmetology industry. That is when she developed a passion for fitness.
After several months of going to the gym and not seeing the results she wanted, Paula started to delve deeper. She realized nutrition played an equal roll in health and fitness. Several years of self-study and personal interest in the area of fitness and nutrition lead her to make the decision to change professions. Paula proceeded to enroll in college full-time in Nutrition Sciences at the University of Minnesota. She embraced her studies and Graduated with Distinction. Plus she gained a rare, prestigious internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Following graduation from Mayo School of Health Sciences she passed her regional test to become a Registered Dietitian.
Ultimately, her passion was to pursue further studies in Integrative and Functional Nutrition believing in the power of food and nutrition as natural remedies. Paula’s reasoning for going this route was to find an alternative way to resolve her own digestive and mood issues that she struggled with from a young age. These practices have ultimately changed her life.
Her previous professional experience involved helping clients with weight loss, giving them tools that lead to positive behavior and habit changes. The gift she gives is the ability to hold space for clients to find the desire within themselves to make positive changes in their own life. This, along with offering education and a place to feel understood plus empowered made her clients successful.
